OUR TEAM
James M Restaino is one of the founding partners of Specialized Health Services LLC. James graduated from the University of Delaware in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Minor in Finance and Economics. James worked as an Accountant for 7 years straight out of college until deciding accounting just wasn’t for him.
He then took a job at Penn Mutual where he acquired his Health and Life Insurance licenses along with his Series 6 and Series 63 licenses. James worked at Penn Mutual for 5 years and became one their most respected and successful brokers winning multiple awards and honors. James decided he wanted to own his own company and partnered with Gary Genuario, the other founding partner. They started Specialized Health Services LLC in December of 2008 with the vision of being a successful firm that provides exceptional customer service in the fields of health insurance, life insurance, estate planning, and fixed investments. Due to his experience, education, and licenses James has a vast knowledge over many financial topics. James credits his success to his parents who not only both worked but raised 3 children and also his hard work ethic.
Michael Pace is the newest partner at Specialized Health Services LLC. Michael graduated from Kean University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Administration.
After graduation, Michael worked as an Account Manager at Mass Mutual. After just one year Michael was hired by the firm Beneficial Wealth in Warren NJ as the VP of Operations. After just a little over a year, he was highly recruited and decided to join Specialized Health Services LLC as a Manager and Broker. Michael is currently specializing in small and large group health insurance along with life insurance sales. Michael credits his early success in life to his hard work ethic, exceptional customer service, and his 2 hard-working parents who raised 4 children.
Ann joined the SHS team in 2019. Having served for six years as Councilperson and eight years as the Mayor of the Borough of Caldwell, Ann brings her government experience to the health insurance discussion.
Always on the lookout for ways to reduce the healthcare insurance costs, as Mayor, she engaged Specialized Health Services, and saved $100,000 annually, with no reduction in benefits to her employees.
Ann is a graduate of Caldwell University and since 1986, has owned a public relations firm that specializes in helping non-profit organizations tell their stories to the public, through media features, and special events. In 2019, she achieved her NJ State Health Insurance Broker’s license and since that time has had many discussions with area Boards of Education and Municipalities as well as small businesses about their health insurance needs and costs.
Ann currently resides in Caldwell, and has been married to her high school sweetheart, Gene, for over 40 years and has two adult children, Gene III a licensed architect, and Katherine, a marketing professional, and a rescue mutt, named Coach.
